Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker this week imposed new restrictions on businesses, and warned residents about holiday gatherings.
The state is experiencing a new surge in Coronavirus cases, prompting the state to open a field hospital in Worcester, and to urge residents to stay vigilant against the virus even as a vaccine has come online.
It will take months for everyone to vaccinated, so people need to stay vigilant and continue to wear masks, practice physical distancing, and wash/sanitize hands frequently.
Gov. Baker said that the numbers showed a clear uptick in cases as a result of gatherings over the Thanksgiving holiday. He urged residents not to celebrate the holidays with anyone outside of their households.
