Notice is hereby given that the Fairhaven Planning Board will conduct a Public Hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday April 14, 2020, in the Town Hall, 40 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA on the following hearings.
• RZ 2020-01: Crow Island Rezone to Mixed-Use. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive information and public comment on the following Rezone application: RZ 2020-01 — the applicant, Crow Island Realty Trust, is requesting approval through the Rezoning public hearing review process to rezone Crow Island in New Bedford/ Fairhaven Harbor from a Single Residence (RA) zoned district to the Mixed-Use District (MU).The location is Crow Island, Map 44 Lot 1 (2.29 acres).
CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARINGS
Notice is hereby given that the Fairhaven Planning Board will also conduct two Continued Public Hearings on the same date. The scheduled continued public hearings on March 24, 2020 could not take place as the Planning Board Meeting was cancelled due to the Coronavirus situation. The purpose of the hearings will be to receive information and public comment on the following Special Permit applications
• 1) 2019-15: Bridge Street Mazda. The applicant, Carapace LLC, represented by Richard Rheaume, P.E. of Prime Engineering, Inc. is requesting approval through the Special Permit review process to construct an approximately 14,000 square foot commercial building for an auto dealership with fifty-four (54) parking spaces and associated infrastructure, stormwater control and landscaping. The location is 250 Bridge Street, Map 36, Lot 15.
• 1) 2019-13: Lewis Landing. The applicant, Dana Lewis, represented by Richard Rheaume, P.E. of Prime Engineering, Inc. is requesting approval through the Special Permit review process to develop a vacant 2.5-acre piece of land by constructing four (4) multi-unit residential buildings with three (3) two-bedroom units each plus two (2) one-story storage buildings (84’ by 20’ and 60’ by 20’), one maintenance shed (24’ by 24’), twenty-eight (28) parking spaces and associated infrastructure, stormwater control and landscaping. The location is Huttleston Avenue (between 347 and 355), Map 31 Lots 115A and 117C.
Copies of the applications are on file at the Department of Planning and Economic Development, Town Hall. Due to the present coronavirus situation, visitors are not allowed at Town Hall. Call the Planning Department at (508) 979-4082, Ext. 9, to make arrangements to see the complete files.
