The Mother’s Day Walk for Peace is a beloved Boston tradition and celebration of our potential to create more peaceful communities. Every year, families from across the state and region walk together toward peace. Join us for the Mother’s Day Virtual Walk-a-thon for Peace as we support the critical services of the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute. COVID will not stop this annual tradition and this year’s theme is right on time — This Way Toward Healing!
The Mother’s Day Walk for Peace started in 1996 so that mothers of murdered children could receive support and love from their neighbors. Twenty-four years later, the Mother’s Day Walk for Peace continues to be a powerful way to honor our loved ones who have been murdered and embrace our shared responsibility to create more peaceful communities.
